Joyce and Pete, Christmas, 2009
Joyce Renebome is Debra's mother and Monty's aunt. Her love and respect for her sister and brother-in-law, who were like parents to her, gave her the courage to publicly tell the truth.  Joyce is six months older than Monty and spent much of her childhood in the Roberts home. Though Monty's real name is Marvin Roberts, Jr., even Monty credits Joyce with his nickname, As a baby, she is the one who first called him Monty.  Her much older sister Marguerite, and brother-in-law Marvin, taught her to ride and show horses right along with Monty and his brother Larry. Joyce happily continues her work as a  commercial real estate broker and now lives in Manteca, California with her husband of nearly 57 years, Pete. They enjoy travel and the Sacramento Kings.
